A record breaking year for Chester Zoo

Absolutely incredible news to start 2026!

Chester Zoo achieved record-breaking visitation figures in 2025, with over 2.1 MILLION people visiting the Zoo, breaking every attendance record since first opening their gates in 1931.

We first sat down (with a brew, of course) with the team at Chester Zoo back in 2022. The goal was simple, but massive. Deliver ambitious growth and a brand strategy powerful enough to fuel their global conservation efforts.

Chester Zoo isn’t just a world-class day out, they are also a powerhouse charity working tirelessly to prevent extinction, enabling wildlife to survive and thrive, globally. That kind of mission requires bravery, and the team at Chester Zoo has it in spades.

They wanted to make work that matters and, at Notorious, that’s exactly where we live.
